After losing in the first round at the first two events, Wilkerson more than made up for it here. Racing with the new ’10 Mustang body painted with BASF R-M paint, Wilkerson was steady and strong during eliminations, capping the day with a 4.09 to 4.19 defeat of defending Gainesville winner Bob Tasca III. The victory is Wilkerson’s 14th and his first at the historic Gatornationals.

“When you run well and you run consistent, people will show you enough respect to try pretty hard against you,” said Wilkerson, who credits a switch from a three-rail to a two-rail chassis with helping him win. “We did have a good day today. I’m not going to say we were world-beaters, but we made some pretty darn good runs to keep them on their toes.

Travis gets his first Top 25 finish in this early season at Las Vegas this weekend.  It’s a long season, and you better not mess our BASF paint job up buddy.

We are excited to announce our partnership with Tim Wilkerson in his Top Fuel dragster this season.  This past week Tim made his debut but had some issues which prevented him from the winners circle.  It’s a long season and we expect Tim to least be in the Top 5 like he was last year.
